I’ve been anxiously awaiting delivery of new albums from a new vendor. I’m happy to say they are in and I LOVE the results!I didn’t have much time to take pictures this afternoon, hopefully tomorrow I will have more time to grab a few more and get them posted here.
This is a sample of a 5×7 parent album with a photowrap cover.

A 7×5 parent album with a suede cover. This is considered a mini since it is an exact duplicate of the 15×10 album, just in a smaller “mini” size.

This is the bride & grooms full-size album, 15×10 ( landscape ) with a phtoowrap cover

Next we have an 8×10 album with leather cover with blind embossed text on the cover:

Next is a 12×8 (landscape) leather cover, again with blind embossing:

Finally we have a custom album, which is 6×12 that features a photo-wrap cover:

Another new product we now carry is the Image Box. Each box has 12 or 20 inserts that each contain one photo in various sizes (depending on the mat selected.)

I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jill & Patrick yesterday. While processing the proofs I pulled a few to post. Enjoy!

It’s been a very long, busy, rough week around here. So much going on.. Still doing that impossible search of finding competent help for a few projects I’m working on. I finished editing last weekends wedding, which I’m uploading right now and thought I would share this image. It’s based on my new lighting methods.. I think for the time invested it’s a great shot and really shows the cake off!
Looks like it could be in a magazine.. Hope it was good cake.
Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting Melissa & Jason (Sept 9, 2006) at Deep River County Park.

Deep River, probably my top spot to take engagement pictures in the area other than the beach.
From today, my July 8th couple. I will post more photos later tonight or tomrrow afternoon as time allows.
This picture was taken at about 4:40 and it was bright outside. I toned down the overcast day to make it almost appear as if it were early dusk to focus the picture more on the couple and less on their surroundings. Something different!
Saturdays wedding of Kate & Mark was by far the most unique car I’ve had a couple in to date. A beautiful red ‘57 Chevy convertible.
This was wedding #2 for the weekend. Again, I have the best couples.. and I think these pictures show how easy they are to work with. Congrats Kate & Mark!
More of Kate & Mark can be found in the Galleries section, or click here.

This weekend was a first for me. 3 weddings in 3 days.
Friday I had the pleasure of shooting Kathleen & Sean’s wedding downtown at the Raddison on Huron. We had a great time driving around the city shooting at various locations, all on a Friday before a holiday weekend! This is the first of many photographs I will be posting online in the next few days.. check the galleries on Friday for more from them and the other 2 couples from this weekend.

I would like to thank Rick Bella (www.bellaphotographs.com) for being my assistant for the day.. making sure my umbrella and light didn’t fly away in the lakefront breeze and for handling my new light at the reception.
Today I met with 2 of my couples for this year to shoot their engagement pictures in Michigan City. We had an interesting day of fighting with mother nature and the nice cold breeze that was provided. My couples were both very tollerant.. which always helps.

Who would let a little rain and 40 degree weather stop their wedding? Definitely not Breain and Luke!
I always like to play second shooter at weddings to experiment with new techniques and play around with things that I wouldn’t want to try at a wedding, just in case. Today I had my chance tagging along for fun with Rick & Jodi Bella (www.bellaphotographs.com)
This was an excellent opportunity for me to experiment! I just purchased a high powered flashlight to use as a lightsource for shooting (images coming soon!) and I now realize that I might benefit even more by adding the video light that I originally intended to buy. While both will work in unison, I do believe the video light will provide a little more power.. but then there is the heat issue. A spotlight isn’t going to get anywhere near as hot as a 100 watt video light, that’s for sure. Unfortunately there aren’t any powerful, cool running video lights available. I’m sure in time there will be LED based lights.
A few random shots from the day. I’ll post a gallery later this week with my top picks.

After hearing so many clients complain about photographers including all the extras that they don’t want, I started thinking about my own pricing. While I never forced anyone to buy something they didn’t want, it was sometimes a shock when someone opened my price sheet and saw my pricing.
No more. I’ve completely revamped my wedding pricing and the way I do things. Want to see?? Check out the PDF which explains all of the details along with the new pricing stucture! New Pricing Link
